Internal Job Description

You must demonstrate hands-on knowledge of Windows (XP, Vista, 7) operating system. Knowledge of backup/restore procedures, installation of software and troubleshooting techniques. Good understanding of x86 based server hardware platforms and installation of linux using PXE is essential.
Work involves commission/de-commission of hardware in co-ordination with finance & facilities. Asset tracking and inventory update.

Must be well organized, methodical, detail oriented, and able to work under pressure of dead lines. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications:

The selected individual must be pursuing a BS/MS degrees program in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or math.

SmileTrain is a wonderful organization that repairs cleft palates in children around the world for $250.
We need your help! Let’s sponsor some of these surgeries together.
You can sponsor as an individual or a department.
We ALSO have a wonderful bake sale this week to sweeten the deal!

100% of proceeds will go to the SmileTrain surgery teams. For every surgery sponsored, you can request a photograph of your sponsored child, with information about him or her.

As Microsoft Dynamic Tools continues to grow in businesses, we are very pleased to have Dan from Microsoft to come talk to us about Microsoft Dynamics.

Microsoft Dynamics is a line of easy- to – use, integrated, and adaptable business software that offers business management solutions for financial, supply chain and CRM (Customer Relationship Management). It is very useful for business decision- makers to make decisions and it will help driving business to success.

As a business/MIS student, it’s essential to understand the importance of EPR and CRM application and how it assist business manage and allocate resources with crucial information.

We will be integrating this event with Professor Aggarwal’s Bus 92 class. There will be two sections. One is from 12:00PM to 1:15PM and another one from 1:30PM to 2:45PM.

MISA is hosting a Halo Tournament sponsored by Microsoft for all members and non members to join. There will be a 2 dollar entrance fee for all members and non-members and the final winner will win the total collected cash prize, plus additional Halo Software from Microsoft. Combine the game of capture the flag with chess, mix in hide ‘n’ seek and add a large dose of adrenaline. Paintball is challenging and fast-paced. As few as two or as many as eighty can play. Each team starts at its own flag station. A starting signal is given and each team tries to reach the other team¹s station, grab the flag and race back to its station.

So come out and join us in our biggest event of the semester the Paintball event! Entrance tickets will be paid by MISA. Don’t miss out!!!

The director of Information System of the San José Tech Museum of Innovation Christian Mauri, is inviting members of MISA to a tour of the Museum for a an in-depth understanding its daily IS operation.

In addition to the tour, Mr. Mauri will also be sharing with us on the details of their new Internship Program.

At the end of the tour, we will be watching the IMAX feature movie Star Trek by courtesy of the Tech Museum.
