Here’s an update for next two events:

Spring 2009 MBA/MISA Professor’s Dinner

Date: Friday, February 20, 2009
Time: 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Location: Loft Bar & Bistro
Street: 90 South 2nd Street

This event is being hosted by two associations.

This will be a fantastic opportunity to get to know some of your professors in an intimate environment as well as network with other students from another club.

This event will be held on Friday, February 20th at the Loft Bar & Bistro restaurant in San Jose from 7pm-9 pm. We will have tables reserved, so be sure to show up on time so that you can get a good seat.

**Please bring approximately $20, as everyone will be responsible for paying for themselves. Professor dinners will be covered by the MBA/MISA Association.**

Social Networking with Brocade

I’d like to invite you all to our” Social Networking with Brocade event.” We are fortunate to have not only one but three SJSU MIS Aluminis for this event to come speak with us. This will be a great opportunity to see the types of employment that MIS has to offer when we graduate.
This event will be informal therefore, giving you the chance to speak one on one with them.

Sorry for the late update.. unfortunately, I was not able to make any of the events. Otherwise, you’d have seen an update on Friday BUT Christian has a few words he’d like to say to you all:

To compensate with the rainy weather, a social at Pizza My Heart was put in place of the Spring BBQ. The turnout of members was great, we didn’t expect as many members to show up. The pizza event was a prime event to show your face and build your network!

Professors Stephen Kwan, Nitin Aggarwal, Richard Sessions, Richard Burkhard, Malu Roldan, & Tim Hill were amongst the crowd, mingling and socializing with the members and executives. MISA member shirts were handed out as a first come, first serve, but need not to worry as more t-shirts have been ordered. Thanks for coming guys, hope everyone had a great time!

Finally, our first out-of-school/after-hours social, Fahrenheit 7:30pm, came to be a fun and eventful evening! Parking was a hassle for the first hour, but as spots cleared, members came. Many of which, found this event more suitable for their schedule, as they may not have been able to attend the Pizza My Heart social. Drinks and appetizers started the evening and ended in dancing. To those who attended, thank you for coming and we hope to see you at the MBAA Dinner/ELC event, Loft Bar & Grill.

Hey Guys,

I’ve got new updates for you. As many of you know we announced the BBQ for this Thursday. However, with the change in climate, we have decided to stay warm and toasty by having a Pizza my Heart Social. Pizza my heart is located between 3rd/4th street & San Carlos and we will be there from 2pm to 5pm. Please continue to RSVP, we still need a head count in order to accommodate everyone with pizza and drinks.

Friday the 13th is our first night social event at Fahrenheit. Feel free to visit their website: http://www.fultralounge.com/ for more information. We will be meeting here around 730ish and this will be the last day to make a payment for membership. ($20)

First, if you plan on attending the Spring BBQ and are NOT on our Facebook group, please RSVP here. For those on Facebook, please check your events or click the Facebook link to the right under Events and RSVP via Facebook.

Second, we now have confirmed with EMC for two Datacenter tours.

Please note that both tours are the same type for Friday, April 17, 2009 and Friday, April 24, 2009. There is a limit to how many are allowed in a tour, so please sign up here.

Spaces are limited, so please RSVP as soon as you can.
